All of our software is normally customized to some degree, about half is completely customized from the ground up. What is Web Hosting?
A web hosting provider hosts your Web site by placing it on a computer (also called a "server", since it "serve" content up to Web surfers) which are designed specifically to host Web sites. Servers are directly connected to the Internet backbone on fast communication links (much like phone lines, only these lines are bigger, and carry digital data, instead of voices). Your Web site will reside on one of servers at a web host's facility, yet you can view it and work on it from your own PC. What is a Domain Name?
A domain name identifies one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name hostsearch.com represents certain IP addresses. The domain names are used in URL to identify particular Web pages. For example, in the URL http://www.hostsearch.com, the domain name is "hostsearch.com". Once the domain name is registered to a person or company, it is that person's to use exclusively as long as they continue to pay the yearly renewal fee.

How Do I Register a Domain Name?
Registering a domain name is very easy.

First you will have to make sure that the domain you want is available - using something called a WHOIS lookup at sites like Register.com or Whois Source you can make sure the domain you want is available for registration.

Afterwards, you simply need to visit a registration site such as DirectNIC or Register.com to purchase your domain name.

What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of designing a website specifically for search engines with the goal of obtaining the highest possible rankings according to selected keywords.

How long does it take to get my website "indexed" on the search engines?
Each search engine is different. Generally, it takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks for search engines to index (spider) your site.

Which search engines will my website be submitted to?
We submit your web site to the top search engines: AltaVista, AOL Web Search, Ask Jeeves, Teoma, Google, HotBot, IWon, Lycos, MSN, NetScape Search, ODP , Yahoo! just to name a few. Then we also add your listing to the regional, industry specific, and international search engine or directories.
